I found a small animal which at the time was a baby kitten. Which I seen out in the roadway as we were traveling in the vehicle on 81 south near King Street exit. I yelled pulled over and was out of the car before it stopped. As I ran onto the highway a tractor trailer was coming so I had to back up. I prayed, "Dear God let it miss that kitten". As the tractor trailer passed there was the kitten further out onto I-81 highway I looked down the road and seen another tractor trailer coming. So I dashed out grabbed the kitten and jumped back just in time. The horn of the tractor trailer was terrible. As I made it to the car the kitten made a noise that did not quite sound like a kitten. More of a growling sound.
Reaching the car I was told, "I don't think you have a kitten there". I said, "No, then what do I have"?
I was told, "I think you have a baby fox". Then the discussion led to who could help us know how to feed the fox and how to keep it wild so I could release it and when could I release it. So this began my adventures and learning experience with a baby gray fox I named "Summer".

Cute little thing, Dana!! Brave of you to save her.....but thank goodness 81 traffic wasn't like it is now!! She looks lovely. Know you missed her when you let her go.
